The goal is to gain practical skills in conducting interviews on competencies when applying for a job and to form a personnel reserve.

 Tasks:

  1. Preparing for a Competency Interview
  2. Transfer of technology for conducting interviews on competencies;
  3. Mastering the theory of DISC and Motivators (Sprangler)
  4. Obtaining the skills of conducting a structured interview on competencies according to the STAR model

 Results:

  1. Ability to develop interviews on competencies for various positions and for various tasks.
  2. Mastering the technique of conducting interviews on competencies according to the STAR model.
  3. Evaluation of the influence of the interviewer's personality on the result of the interview based on the DISC&Motivators typology
  4. Express diagnostics of the candidate's psychotype, his motives based on the DISC&Motivators typology

 Training tools:

Mini-lectures, training video analysis, practical tasks, role-playing games with video analysis, work in mini-groups, feedback.

Based on the results of training, a certificate of advanced training of the established sample is issued.

  • Identification of assessed competencies. Interview with the Customer. Ideal profile of requirements for competencies.
  • Competency guide development
  • Selection funnel. Features of telephone interview.

Workshop:

Development of competency-based interviews with positive and negative response indicators.
Selection funnel development.

   2. Conducting a structured interview

  • Types and styles of interviews depending on the tasks - an overview (Biographical interview, Situational interview, Provocative interview)
  • Stages of conducting a structured interview: establishing contact, the main part, completing the interview.
  • Model STAR. Workshop: Role-playing games with video analysis​.

3. Personal preparation of the interviewer

  • What is DISC&Motivators-theory
  • Possible Ways to Quickly Determine DISC Style: Verbal and Non-Verbal
  • Candidate Motivation

Practicum: Express - diagnosis of the type of another person.

  • DISC&Motivators: express diagnostics of personal communication style. Identification of "blind zones" for self-control.
  • Business etiquette in the work of an interviewer, the ability to establish contact with various types of interlocutors. Empathic and active listening skills.
  • Development of skills for switching attention and stress resistance.

Workshop:

  • Exercises to develop personal effectiveness in communications.
  • Individual development plan as an interviewer

4. Making Compliance Decisions

  • Competence assessment scale.
  • The technology of scoring in interviews on competencies and the format of the conclusion / presentation based on the results of interviews on competencies.
  • How to give feedback on the results of an interview on competencies to a candidate
